With a backpack and camera I’m often on the road headed anywhere and everywhere. Born and raised in Australia I now spend the majority of my time between Australia and Canada with regular expeditions in between. Having now spent 3 years in north and south America, a year in Asia and extended time in Africa and Europe I’ve covered vast distance in the search of adventure.
The philosophy that drives my photographic journey developed through these adventures. They developed by meeting people of various cultures both local and travelers. It progressed as I found myself totally immersed in nature, feeling at home in a tent days from civilizations or on the road living out of a van, freezing cold under the northern lights and many more moments each where I stood in awe and realized that another little piece of my changed for the better
I like many others have the idea that the more of the world you experience the more you’ll be open minded to new ideas, feelings, thoughts, people, places and in turn have a greater appreciation for all things in the world. I believe that a greater appreciation for nature and of other cultures will change the world for the better. That we will have less prejudice towards people different from us and that we will have a greater awareness of the natural world.
I’m going to continue to capture the moments, places and people that make me feel grateful to be alive.
“Don’t ask what the world needs, ask what makes you come alive and go do that because what the world needs is people that have come alive.” Howard Thurman
